Per usual each month in business comes with a new lesson and September has been no different. This month I learned that "you have to meet your customers where they are."
Let's talk about...
Recently I found my business sales to be a bit stagnant and I couldn’t understand why. I mean I totally revamped my website, I added new products and created so many different packages. Sooooo why wasn’t my stripe account overflowing with new orders ?
My mind was filled with so many thoughts. I was wondering were my prices too high, do I need to update my website again, should I target another customer base and the list goes on.
And then it dawned on me…
We live in a fast paced - instant gratification - I want it RIGHT NOW now type of society and that’s when I had the epiphany. I needed to figure out a way to grab people’s attention in less than a minute. I was focusing so much energy on making sure I had a professional website filled with detailed packages that I forgot how much we all like to click and few buttons and submit a order!
With that said I immediately went into action. I threw the formalities out the window and stopped focusing on website clicks/sales. I hosted a random Friday Flash Sale, I allowed customers to simply apple pay me (because seriously who tf wants to pull out that debit card to make an online purchase lol) and scheduled their appointments within 10 minutes of receipt of payment. And guess what, in 24 hours I made $625 by the 48 hour mark I made $825. So remember don’t overthink things, identify what works for your target consumer and most importantly remember “you have to meet your customers where they are.”
